Growing notes

  • Excellent forage for hoverflies, lacewings and parasitic wasps when allowed to flower
  • Bolts quickly to seed in warm weather — let some plants flower for the beneficial insects rather than harvesting all leaves
  • Leaves (cilantro) and seeds (coriander) are both culinary and have very different flavours
  • Sow successively for continuous leaf supply
