Growing notes
- Bright yellow young winter stems all winter — the standard yellow-stemmed companion to red-stemmed Cornus alba and sericea cultivars
- Coppice or hard prune in late winter every year or two to keep the strongest colour on vigorous new wood
- Suckers freely — useful for stabilising stream banks and damp ground
- Distinct from the dogwood-red-osier entry already in the database (which carries the red-stemmed species form)
